A wrinkle is the first visible sign of coetaneous ageing. The primary reason for the appearance of wrinkles is largely because of two different factors;

1 - decreased firmness at the level of the dermis which includes a progressive atrophy.

2 - Dehydration of the skin at the level of the dermis.
